Where I live

Getting local

This section allows you to customise content to make it local to you. Once you have selected where you live, you can explore local theatres and theatre companies, find local theatre-related stuff you can take part in, see what higher education is available in your area and read case studies of people who might just have grown up on your street.

If you want to explore other areas, you can always change your mind about where you live!

Does your work experience section look a bit bare? Well get out there and do something. If you really want to get into theatre, you will be expected to show that you are dedicated.

Theatre making grants, south east

No Strings Attached is a new grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to young people from across the South East region.

The scheme is one of 10 pilot projects supported by the Arts Council England’s Young People’s Participatory Theatre’ programme (YPPT) funded by the DCMS. The grant is managed by Farnham Maltings.

Who is it for?

The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. You can apply as an individual or as part of a group.
