Mark Collins, 28, is a self-employed musical director (MD) and also works as a composer, pianist, vocal coach and arranger. He loves working in theatre as he says it is a very sociable industry. He first worked as an MD in an amateur production, but in the last year has MD-ed on the Take That musical Never Forget, Singin’ In The Rain at The Courtyard, Hereford, Three Sides in London and New York and for How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? for the BBC. He has a music degree and an MA in Composing for Film, Television and Theatre.
