Participatory theatre project facilitator (freelance)
We are running a ‘Holiday Fun Programme’ in the 2nd week of the summer holidays.
We are looking for a facilitator to work alongside the artistic director and a youth worker for the week.
JOB DESCRIPTION
To co-facilitate sessions with the lead-facilitator. The co-facilitator needs to have skills and experience running participatory theatre workshops with children. They need to have good classroom management skills and be able to respond to the ideas that children generate over the days of the workshop. They also need good skills devising theatre with children.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- experience of facilitating devised worked with children age 8 – 14, especially in intensive sessions
- specialism in either physical theatre, masks or forum theatre as well as general performance skills
- proven ability to plan and deliver lessons and work as part of a creative team
- a degree in performance is essential and an MA in Applied or Participatory Arts is desirable
- current CRB enhanced disclosure
