Ubiquitous auntie: a documentary shorts competition

In association with LONDONFILM ACADEMY Tamasha is inviting independent filmmakers to submit documentary shorts that blow the lid off the ubiquitous, stereotypical Asian “auntie” character.

We want you to be creative and explore diverse representations of “auntie” through short films. Our recent comedy, auntie netta sees writer and actor Nimmi Harasgama, playing the part of auntie in a monologue that explores immigration and identity.

This opportunity is open to all who have an interest in filmmaking and you have the opportunity to win a place on an LFA Specialised Course of your choice.
