Tour booker

The ITC, an industry body that represents over 600 members, says:

Usually part of a touring company, this person contacts venues to interest them in booking performances, schedules where and when the performances will take place, may negotiate the fee or box office deal (the amount of revenue from ticket sales that will go to the touring company).

This role can also be a freelance one, where someone works with a touring theatre company to book in a tour shows to venues in an area. In some instances, the person doing the booking/ selling may well be the producer of the show.
