Community and education producer
Reports to:
Chief Executive
Job Purpose:
To devise and deliver a programme of educational activity and
participatory work to run alongside, and in association with, the theatre’s performance programme.
Main responsibilities:
* to maintain and grow the theatre’s dialogue with schools, extended schools service and the Education Authority to develop relationships and deliver a participatory programme of work relevant to the curriculum
* to produce and deliver a programme of participatory work for adults
* to manage a programme of projects for a multicultural youth theatre
* to programme and manage the annual community season
* to generate, in liaison with the General Manager, funding/ sponsorship applications for specific projects
* to develop and manage projects which will encourage under-represented groups from the community to participate in the theatre
* to manage project budgets within agreed parameters
* to line manage the Outreach Assistant and a team of freelance practitioners
* to manage systems of recording statistical information for the work undertaken
* to seek collaborators for the work
* to work as part of the senior management team to shape and develop new policies and programming for the organisation
* to undertake any other reasonable responsibilities as and when required

We are looking for someone who has a proven commitment to education,
has already worked in the theatre industry and wants to further their skills and experience. The theatre is a young company with big ambitions and capacity to offer diverse experience to an individual keen to learn and contribute.
