Job description

Development administrator (theatre-based)

TASKS

Sponsorship:

  • assist with all aspects of recruiting new sponsors (research, identify potential sponsors, enabling the making of contacts, administration of cultivation etc)
  • account manage all main sponsorship with responsibility for liaising with marketing, box office, catering, stage management, production, front of house and other theatre departments to follow through delivery of benefits
  • handle all corporate club members including recruitment and renewals
  • manage the administration of sponsorship (including planning, timetabling, invoicing, drafting proposals and agreements)
  • maintain all data records
  • liaise with arts & business and assist with applications

Trusts:

  • help with collating and producing material needed for trust applications
  • deal with the follow-through and cultivation administration
  • maintain data records accurately

Individuals (audience development):

* manage data inputting and handling of all gifts * oversee administration of donations (ie banking, record-keeping etc.) * deal with special actions resulting from gifts, liaising with other departments as necessary * oversee and liaise with individuals organising fund-raising events * draft correspondence with donors

Individuals (major gifts):

* assist with research * maintain data records * administer all cultivation and mailings * set up and maintain systems for tracking attendance, cultivation etc

General

* deal with all enquiries in absence of Development Director * participate in planning and marketing of fundraising activities * manage and oversee the organisation of all fundraising events (sponsors’ evenings; cultivation evenings etc.) * oversee all print relating to development (incl. website) and check for accuracy * ensure high standard of donor stewardship throughout * ensure efficient and effective administration of development department work * assist Development Director as necessary * event manage arts-based training and oversee hires and functions that relate to development * undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required

KEY CONTACTS/POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION:

* members of the Development team reporting to the Development Director * other key relationships include Artistic and Executive Director, General Manager, Marketing Manager and Marketing Assistant, Press Representative, Outreach and Assistant Outreach Directors, Administration
