A box office manager is responsible for hiring box office staff and planning staff rotas. Overall they have responsibility for ticket sales, including completing financial returns, and ensuring that ticket-selling equipment is working well and is updated.

An assistant sells tickets to the public, answers phone enquiries, and processes phone ticket sales.
