Half Moon Careers In Theatre Programme

Every year we offer schools in Tower Hamlets the opportunity to send students interested in a Career in Theatre to join our programme. The day gives 14 - 17 year old students a practical insight into the business, technical and artistic aspects of professional theatre practice and the opportunity to meet professionals from many apsects of the arts, including actors, writers and tutors from colleges and universities.
The programme has 3 phases including an opportunity for work experience for individual students. For more information on the different phases please check out our website by clicking on more information.
All participants must be recommended by their school and be based in Tower Hamlets.

Theatre making grants, south east
No Strings Attached is a new grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to young people from across the South East region.
The scheme is one of 10 pilot projects supported by the Arts Council England’s Young People’s Participatory Theatre’ programme (YPPT) funded by the DCMS. The grant is managed by Farnham Maltings.
Who is it for?
The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. You can apply as an individual or as part of a group.
