Creative Development

Ongoing

The Young Associates Network (YAN) is a new and dynamic way to get involved with the work of Sheffield Theatres' Creative Development Programme. Any young person aged 11 - 26 in South Yorkshire is eligible to become one of our Young Associates and we particularly welcome applications by young people from a variety of backgrounds.

As a Young Associate, you can take part in the work we offer, whether it's a regular group, a one-off workshop or a performance project – we want you to engage creatively and practically with the work of the Creative Development Programme and the work of Sheffield Theatres. We are keen to ensure that this programme is accessible to all and a limited number of free Bursary places are available for all projects (1 Bursary place per person). If you would like to apply for one of these places, please include a short supporting letter with your application form.

Theatre making grants, south east

No Strings Attached is a new grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to young people from across the South East region.

The scheme is one of 10 pilot projects supported by the Arts Council England’s Young People’s Participatory Theatre’ programme (YPPT) funded by the DCMS. The grant is managed by Farnham Maltings.

Who is it for?

The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. You can apply as an individual or as part of a group.

To register your interest and to book an appointment, or for further information please contact Jane McGibbon:
