Saturday 29 September till Saturday 8 December at the Zion Centre, Hulme.
Delivered by Community Arts North West, the Urban Music theatre programme is an ambitious three year youth arts initiative bringing together culturally diverse young people from Manchester's refugee and asylum seekers communities, as well as young people from local host communities, to devise and create an exciting hip hop theatre production.
A vibrant cast of young people from five art forms will present a dynamic and original urban music theatre production fusing dance, live music, digital arts and spoken word, premiering at the Zion Centre from Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 December 2007.

Theatre making grants, south east
No Strings Attached is a new grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to young people from across the South East region.
The scheme is one of 10 pilot projects supported by the Arts Council England’s Young People’s Participatory Theatre’ programme (YPPT) funded by the DCMS. The grant is managed by Farnham Maltings.
Who is it for?
The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. You can apply as an individual or as part of a group.
