First Bite Theatre Group for 11s - 14s

- Why not join the Royal Exchange Theatre's regular theatre group for 11s – 14s?
- Sessions will be held at the Theatre every Monday from February to June 2008; 5.30 – 7.30pm
As part of the First Bite Theatre Group you will explore the world of theatre through practical, creative workshops and perform in a play created by the group, at the Royal Exchange Studio Theatre in June 2008.
Joining the group costs £40 for 16 sessions (this works out at the equivalent of £2.50 per session). There are a number of subsidised places available for those unable to pay the full amount.

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed young people to join the First Bite Theatre Group in February 2008. There will be an Open Meeting on Thursday 10 January 2008 at 6pm which is an opportunity for all young people who are interested in the group and their parents/carers to come along and find out more about how the group works and what you can expect. At this meeting we will be distributing application forms to all those young people who would like to apply to join.
If you wish to come to the Open Meeting there is no need to book a place, you can just come along for 6pm on the 10 January and meet us by the Box Office. If you have any further questions about the group before the Open Meeting then please contact Kate Reynolds on 0161 615 6721.

Theatre making grants, south east
No Strings Attached is a new grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to young people from across the South East region.
The scheme is one of 10 pilot projects supported by the Arts Council England’s Young People’s Participatory Theatre’ programme (YPPT) funded by the DCMS. The grant is managed by Farnham Maltings.
Who is it for?
The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. You can apply as an individual or as part of a group.
