The Royal Exchange Theatre runs a number of educational activities for young people, and the group for 14 – 19 year olds is called the Young People’s Theatre Workshop (YPTW).

This group explores all aspects of the creative process of making theatre from acting to stage management. The project culminates in a short performance piece in the Royal Exchange’s Studio Theatre that the participants themselves create, perform, design and provide backstage and technical support for.

The group runs annually from September to March.
