Actor

What have you done in theatre?
Acting roles in productions for Pressed On Players, Skye Productions, Bordello Theatre Co, Barefoot North and Wild Shows & Feasts amongst others

Have you got qualifications?
Acting degree and a BTEC national diploma in drama

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Actor

What do you do all day?
I design and deliver creative workshops for community groups and public service providers using various creative mediums from drama to visual arts to music. I am also involved in running Guild Hall Youth Theatre, which has recently launched, and provides young people an exciting, fun and affordable way to engage in performance.

I produce, direct and perform productions for my theatre company Bordello Theatre, which I jointly own. I also direct and perform as a freelance for other companies and organisations.

What’s the best thing about your job?
How varied each day is and the number of different and unique people I meet on a daily basis

And the worst?
Managing my personal finances, especially tax

What’s your dream job in theatre?
Actor/ director

Got any wise words for someone who wants to be where you are now?
It takes a lot of hard work, determination and love of what you are doing to survive and succeed in the creative industries. You need to believe in yourself and your ability and you will go far. Do not expect the opportunity to be given to you, go and create your own opportunity.
