Technician at Blackwood Miners’ Institute and production manager at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff. I have been freelancing since 2002.
Have you got qualifications?
A degree in drama, theatre and television and a postgraduate diploma in stage management
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Something in theatre
What do you do all day?
I now work in a mixture of live events and theatre, so most of the summer I am outside in various fields and in the autumn and spring I am production managing theatre shows – be they main stage tours or small studio pieces. I work with the creative team to realise their vision, then work with the construction teams, painters, stage management, costume – to put the nuts and bolts of the show together

It takes a lot of hard work and commitment but is great fun – it is a lifestyle not a job
