Have you got qualifications?
Four-year apprenticeship in agricultural engineering and blacksmithing and four CSEs (olden days GCSEs)

What did you do before you worked in theatre?
Shop-fitting and working with agricultural machines, recovery trucks, gates and railings, cars, buses, trains etc

How did you make the move to working in theatre?
I heard about the job and just applied

What do you do all day?
No day is typical. I could be doing anything.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Diversity of work

And the worst?
No windows in the workshop

What’s your dream job in theatre?
No need to dream, I enjoy making things with my hands
