Played in a band, worked in a wine shop and other things too tedious to mention
How did you make the move to working in theatre?
I took a part-time front of house job that eventually turned into a full-time position
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Chef, fireman, dog breeder and musician
What do you do all day?
Organising events from meetings to plays, gigs, performances, corporate events, bar mitzvahs etc; staffing and managing the arts centre staff
What’s the best thing about your job?
Organising a good event that is well attended

Badly-attended events

Manager of a large theatre

Start at the bottom and work your way up. Even voluntary theatre work can lead to a full-time job.
