Very few, hence job in catering

What did you do before you worked in a theatre?
I worked at the Leadmill music venue and nightclub

Why did you start working in a theatre?
I was weary of serving snakebite to students

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an astronaut, but the British space programme is enormously underfunded – also I’m stupid

What do you do all day?
Supervision of staff, stock control, ordering, cashing up of tills, keeping up health & hygiene standards

What’s the best thing about your job?
I enjoy working with the staff and serving customers. This is where the fun is to be had. Also theatre is a good place to work.

And the worst?
Constantly supplying tea, coffee and biscuits to meetings. When do I get some tea, coffee and biscuits?

Got any wise words for someone who wants to be where you are now?
I’d suggest they spend a week or so with me, then apply to astronaut school
