NVQ levels 2 and 3 in business administration

Did you work in another industry before the theatre?
I was a trainee receptionist at a training provider

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Everything! A dancer, zoo keeper, working in a shop just to name a few

What do you do all day?
Administration including photocopying, databasing, dealing with post and managing files

What’s the best thing about your job?
The people and the environment that I work in. The theatre is so friendly I actually look forward to coming to work everyday.

And the worst?
The occasion early mornings

What’s your dream job in theatre?
Being the new chief executive (only a joke). Or maybe a dancer in the shows that we have.

Got any wise word for someone who wants to be where you are now?
Go for it! Working in the theatre is one of the best moves I have ever made. You meet loads of people and get involved in things you wouldn’t be able to in any other jobs no matter what your job is. It builds your confidence and really sets you up in life it will challenge you but only for the better. But no-one’s having my job!
